ADXT3 stair edging (nosing) comprises an aluminium channel with a choice of insert material that extends around the leading edge of the profile to ensure that foot contact is always made with the slip-resistant element of the stair edging. It features a new unique mechanical locking mechanism to secure the insert in place, making it ideal for use in areas subject to more intensive cleaning e.g. healthcare and education environments. It is a square, single channel profile with a 58.5mm tread and 55mm riser to meet the guidance in BS 8300-2:2018. It has a 5mm gauge making it ideal for use with carpet or resilient flooring with bevelled underlay in heavy use areas.
