AKRXT53 stair edging (nosing) comprises an aluminium channel with a choice of insert material that extends around the leading edge of the profile to ensure that foot contact is always made with the slip-resistant element of the stair edging. It features a new unique mechanical locking mechanism that secures the insert in place making it ideal for use in areas subject to intensive cleaning e.g. healthcare or education environments. It is a rake back, ramp back profile featuring a wide insert for heavy traffic applications or where there is a deep stair tread. It is ideal for use where there are no surface floorcoverings or with resilient flooring. When used with resilient flooring AKRXT53 should be installed on top of the floorcovering.
