AKXT50A stair edging comprises an aluminium channel with a choice of insert material that extends around the leading edge of the profile to ensure that foot contact is always made with the slip-resistant element of the stair edging. It features a unique mechanical locking mechanism to secure the insert in place, making it ideal for use in areas subject to intensive cleaning e.g. healthcare and education environments. It is a rake back, single channel, ramp back profile with a 70mm tread and 40mm riser. It is ideal for use where there are no surface floorcoverings or with a resilient floorcovering. When used with resilient flooring AKXT50A should be installed on top of the flooring.
